The healthcare analytics and operations executive, keynote speaker, board member and more with her foundation aims to transform the future of healthcare and education.
As we discuss how a few founders and high-performing professionals across sectors have created unique niches, particularly the female brigade, we feel a growing need to share their journeys so that the world can appreciate their genius. There are a handful of professionals who believe in going against the tides and work toward creating a greater impact in the lives of others through all that they choose to lay their hands on. Dr. Ewa J. Kleczyk serves as one such example of a highly-driven professional and versatile talent who, with her one-of-a-kind Kleczyk-Strout Foundation, is driven to leave a legacy of meaningful change.
Dr. Ewa J. Kleczyk today isn’t just a name in healthcare analytics; she has also risen as a changemaker driven by the belief that data, when used with empathy, can rewrite systems and elevate lives. With more than two decades of experience using real-world evidence (RWE) to shape healthcare strategies and improve patient outcomes, her mission has never been about numbers alone. It has always been about people. She grew up as a first-generation immigrant and firsthand experienced the isolation and uncertainty of navigating educational and professional spaces without representation or guidance. She has gone ahead in carving her path, especially in fields like economics and data science, where few looked like her or shared her background. That sense of being “the only one in the room” ignited the fire within her to do what she does today and create her most powerful legacy yet, the Kleczyk-Strout Foundation.

Co-founded by Dr. Ewa J. Kleczyk, the unique foundation is a non-profit dedicated to two fundamental goals: A. Expanding educational opportunities for underrepresented students in economics and STEM and B. Improving equitable access to healthcare through data-informed advocacy and research. One of the key factors that has helped the foundation stand out is its dual focus on addressing both systemic barriers in education and the deep-rooted inequities in healthcare access. It goes beyond scholarships or studies, building lasting opportunities and empowering communities historically left behind.
The Kleczyk-Strout Foundation is poised for growth with a clear mission: to expand its mentorship programs, strengthen academic support for underserved students, and advance data-driven health equity initiatives. These pillars reflect Dr. Ewa J. Kleczyk’s unwavering belief that education and healthcare must be treated not as privileges, but as fundamental rights. With a PhD in Economics and a longstanding career in healthcare strategy, Dr. Kleczyk has guided organizations in using data to make decisions that are not only intelligent, but also ethical and inclusive. What sets her approach apart is a deeply human-centered perspective. “I don’t just look at data for trends—I look at it through the lens of equity, impact, and advocacy,” she says. Through her work, she has shown that data, when used with intention, becomes a powerful bridge between science and service, ensuring that no community is left behind in an increasingly digital world.

The Kleczyk-Strout Foundation embodies her vision of a world where underrepresented students excel in STEM fields, where inclusive data informs healthcare, and where no one is overlooked by the systems designed to support them. Dr. Ewa draws inspiration from the resilience of those who rise despite systemic barriers, from students who break generational cycles to patients whose voices influence care models. She has gone ahead in touching lives, which led to mentees becoming healthcare leaders, community leaders, and scientists, communities being supported in providing cancer care and organizations understanding equity as a strategic imperative.
Talking about her future vision for the Kleczyk-Strout Foundation, Dr. Ewa J. Kleczyk says, “The foundation is committed to driving forward research, education, and advocacy that will transform the future.”
