His story is all about passion, resilience, innovation, cybersecurity breakthroughs, photonic innovation and a path-breaking ambition.

The world has seen only a handful of professionals who have gone beyond doing the conventional, choosing to walk on unconventional paths and creating a unique niche of their own, while inspiring the world. Dr. Ko-Cheng Fang is all about this and more. He has been blending art and photonic science with the vision to fulfil a powerful purpose.

Early on in his journey, he found himself inclined toward exploring the boundaries of art, science, and human potential. He grew up as a child surrounded by paintings, sculptures, and creative expression and also developed an instinct for both precision and imagination. Today, he has dived deep into a multidisciplinary professional journey, one that spans cybersecurity, material science, biotechnology, and photonic quantum computing. Dr. Ko-Cheng Fang thus far in his career has significantly contributed to global technology infrastructure. He developed patented technologies in cloud storage systems and programmable password security, which are state-of-the-art innovations that were later developed by the United States Department of Homeland Security. These tech innovations later laid crucial groundwork for modern cloud computing and information security systems now used by billions worldwide.

One of his most talked-about innovations is the creation of laboratory-grown Imperial Green jadeite, a gemstone historically considered nearly impossible to replicate. This innovation went ahead in not only revolutionising materials science but also introducing a sustainable alternative to natural jadeite, which today has become increasingly scarce due to mining restrictions. With the vision to go beyond all this, Dr. Fang extended his excellence even into the world of luxury. LongServing Technology is a result of the same, where it has introduced jadeite into high-end fashion through its newly launched jadeite handbag collection. Each piece in the collection showcases both scientific mastery as well as artistic visions. Earlier, his work reshaped digital infrastructure and his latest innovations aim to redefine the future of computing itself.

He is the one who developed photonic quantum chips, with patents secured across 26 countries. By using light instead of electricity, his photonic quantum chips offer speeds at least 1,000 times faster than electronic chips while significantly reducing energy consumption and carbon emissions. At the core of this breakthrough lies “X-Photon”, a photon quantum material capable of emitting light at an extraordinary wavelength of just 2 nanometres. His X-Photon innovation has paved the path for nanoscale photonic pathways and next-gen computing systems, being widely regarded as an invention of Nobel Prize-level significance. Speaking more about the advancements by LongServing Technology, Dr. Fang says that it is now developing photonic memory, an innovation that could help in eliminating the need for repeated light to electrical conversions. He explains how computational speeds could increase at least 10,000 times beyond current electronic CPUs when photonic chips are integrated with photonic memory. At the core of this innovation is X-Photon material, without with such innovations aren’t attainable.

Dr. Ko-Cheng Fang’s visions go beyond computing. His work in 7-nanometre photomask fabrication showcases his commitment to advance semiconductor processes. Also, his research in biotech explores innovative anti-cancer solutions. Using bioactive compounds derived from natural sources, his team has been developing targeted approaches to inhibit and destroy cancer cells. However, at the very heart of everything he does, he is an artist. His lifelong passion for painting has evolved into a unique fusion of art and innovation. In 2026, LongServing Technology offered entered the fashion world with the launch of its Trendy Boutique Area. Its collection features products inspired by Dr. Fang’s original paintings, including apparel, footwear, and handbags. Standing out is the jadeite bag collection that combines lab-grown jadeite with luxury craftsmanship.

The company is now actively pursuing its Global IPO initiative, while also seeking international underwriting partners and advisory firms to support its expansion into global capital markets. Dr. Ko-Cheng Fang has a clear message for the next-gen of professionals that they must not waste talent and that innovation requires passion, courage, resilience, persistence and a willingness to embrace what others may call impossible.
