The international luxury and sustainable womenswear brand founded in 2023 is already enjoying upward success, inspiring other young brands and entrepreneurs worldwide.

It is always astonishing to see how a few brands and businesses have consistently remained on an upward growth trend in industries high on saturation and competition. Even more surreal is to know how most of these brands have acquired a prominent position in their niches in just a few short years, thriving on their efficient and passionate team of professionals, their visionary ideas and the genuine goal to make a positive difference through products/services on society, in ways more than one. It is thus imperative to put more light on such brands, driven by high-performing founders who ensure they create magic every day with all that they offer, much like Nayé Diabira, who created Naayé Brahm.

Highly driven founders and entrepreneurs like Nayé Diabira, mother of two, have taken conscious steps forward to make a positive difference in the world through their brands. Nayé created Naayé Brahm in 2023 in Marbella, Spain. She was born and raised in France by Soninkés parents from Mauritania. After obtaining her Civil Engineering degree, she followed the Asian wind. She began her first expatriation in Vietnam to the engineering and construction world, where she spent a year and a half wearing construction boots and a hat. Though the adventurous wind further led her to Portugal, Spain and Belgium for International industrial projects, she chose Spain as her home.

After obtaining her further degree in Construction Law & Arbitration, she undertook evening fashion design classes in Madrid. Finally, in 2023, she pursued her passion for fashion. She established her fashion luxury brand Naayé Brahm after fourteen years in the engineering and construction industry and after being promoted to a business executive position at a French multinational company. To create a brand that can go beyond the conventional, she ensured that she would build a brand to help people express their individuality and help others recognise theirs. She advocates that fashion is the expression of wearable art, beyond the words, and the possibility to make a meaningful statement with clothes.

Speaking more about Naayé Brahm, the founder says, “The vision of my brand is to embody exclusive design and the universal art of craftsmanship using hand-woven fabrics stemming from ancestral traditions. It offers elegant, feminine and exclusive outfits combining authentic hand-woven fabrics with the art of tailor-masters. It offers prêt-à-couture fitted, upon one’s desire, either to their standard size or to their exact measurements; one of the prime factors that have helped the brand stand unique from the rest.”

Nayé Diabira highlights that since establishing the brand in 2023, the brand has designed and launched two collections – Capsule Marbella 2023/2024 and Pioneras 2024/2025 and participated in the Paris Fashion Week show organised by Flying Solo NYC collective. The collections are made of exceptional hand-woven fabrics (“Kente”) manufactured by West African master craftsmen and women, European shiny fabrics used for special ceremonies (Bazin) and Organza from Spain.

Another prime factor that has helped Naayé Brahm stand unique from other brands in the niche is how it is an ode to femininity, individuality and glamour and pays tribute to the XXth century women artists that have changed the world’s way of perceiving art through paintings music, colours or geometric patterns such as Lioubov Popova (the “artist- constructor”), Frida Kahlo, Sonia Delaunay, Louise Bourgeois and Miriam Makeba. Her collections employ elegant design lines, unique handmade fabrics, joyful colours, organza and voluptuous skirts.

Nayé draws inspiration from the beauty surrounding her, from art expositions to nature. She highlights how her latest collection, “Pioneras”, is inspired by an exhibition held in 2018 at the Museo Thyssen-Bornemisza in Madrid. This exhibition showcased the works of key female artists such as Sonia Delaunay and Liubov Popova.

Naayé Brahm is on a mission to positively contribute to the fashion world by offering unique designs to clients, bringing talented artisans from remote places to the mainstream, and fostering local artisans.
