Universe Organization has appointed the new Assistant Director to replace the late Toni Burnett, who died suddenly due to cardiac arrest on March 8, 2024. The organization will continue to honor the legacy of Toni Burnett by awarding one delegate each year who has demonstrated strong leadership and organizational skills with the Toni Burnett Director/scholarship award.
Under the guidance of National Director, Teri Brown-Walker, effective immediately, Ivonn Novikova will assume the role as Assistant Director. With a Master of Marketing from the Schulich School of Business and hands-on leadership experience in high-growth fintech and SaaS firms, Ivonn Novikova understands how to turn ideas into engagement. Her tech career refined her skills in go-to-market strategy, audience growth, and partnership development. Before stepping into the boardroom, she spent a decade modelling for Chanel, Harper’s Bazaar, and the Stella McCartney × Adidas collaboration, honing an eye for visual storytelling and global consumer trends.
By blending data-driven thinking with creative flair, Ivonn builds brands that resonate—and that same mix of strategic marketing and fashion insight can strengthen the pageant community by expanding digital reach, and giving Miss Universe Guyana delegates the branding confidence to stand out on the Universe international stage.
