    The 82nd annual Golden Globe Awards, held on January 5, 2025, featured some major wins for both film and television. Hosted by comedian Nikki Glaser, this year’s ceremony celebrated a diverse range of talent and notable achievements. Emilia Pérez emerged as a standout with four awards, including Best Motion Picture – Musical or Comedy. Meanwhile, Demi Moore earned a well-deserved win for her role in The Substance. Other highlights included Shōgun taking the top honor in TV drama and Wicked triumphing in several categories. Here’s the full breakdown of the winners:

    • Best Director: Brady Corbet for The Brutalist
    • Best Screenplay: Conclave
    • Best Original Song: “El Mal” from Emilia Pérez

    Television:

    • Best Television Series – Drama: Shōgun
    • Best Television Series – Musical or Comedy: Hacks
    • Best Television Limited Series: Baby Reindeer
    • Best Performance by a Female Actor in a Television Series – Drama: Anna Sawai for Shōgun
    • Best Performance by a Male Actor in a Television Series – Drama: Hiroyuki Sanada for Shōgun
    • Best Performance by a Female Actor in a Television Series – Musical or Comedy: Jean Smart for Hacks
