Gigi Hadid Takes Holiday Dressing to New Heights with an Unexpected Miniskirt

Gigi Hadid’s holiday wardrobe is bringing festive style inspiration this season, and her latest ensemble proves she’s taking fashion to new levels. Since launching her cashmere brand, Guest in Residence, in 2022, Hadid has made a name for herself with plush, colorful knits that exude casual luxury. But this time, it’s not her signature sweater that’s stealing the spotlight—it’s her unexpected choice of bottoms.

On Saturday, Hadid hosted the opening party for a new Guest in Residence location in Los Angeles, showcasing a fabulously festive outfit. She wore a mocha brown cable-knit vest from her brand, layered over a brown, red, and white striped rugby shirt. The real showstopper, however, was her espresso fur miniskirt, featuring an umber leather waistband that added an unexpected yet chic touch.

To complement her retro-inspired top, Hadid paired the outfit with black, white, and red leather loafers, tying the look back to the striped rugby shirt. She finished the festive ensemble with sheer tights, a cream handbag from Loro Piana, pearl drop earrings, and a diamond tennis necklace, adding a touch of elegance to the mix. At the event, Hadid caught up with familiar faces like her father, Mohamed Hadid, and her brother, Anwar Hadid. Fellow model Hailey Bieber also made an appearance before heading out for a girls’ night with Kylie Jenner.

In an interview with Harper’s Bazaar, Hadid shared her vision behind Guest in Residence, explaining, “I didn’t think of it as pieces that were bought and worn by one person, but like, How can these pieces be passed down?” She also discussed how her personal style influences her brand, saying, “My goal in life is to look as chic or put together as possible while always being comfortable. I very rarely, even on red carpets, will wear things that I feel uncomfortable in throughout the event because I just feel like I can’t be myself as much when I’m thinking about what I’m wearing in that way.”

With this festive look, Gigi Hadid continues to showcase her knack for blending comfort and chic sophistication, while also making bold choices in her holiday wardrobe.
