Elton John has publicly shared his battle with a severe eye infection that has left him with “limited vision in one eye.” In a heartfelt social media update, the legendary singer revealed that his recovery is progressing, albeit slowly. He expressed gratitude for the care provided by his doctors, nurses, and family, noting that he has been quietly recuperating at home over the summer.
This year has presented other health challenges for John, including knee replacement surgery in January. His husband, David Furnish, reported in March that John was recovering well, with plans for surgery on his other knee later that month.
In addition to his health update, John announced that his documentary, *Elton John: Never Too Late*, will premiere on Disney+ on December 13. The film, which will debut at the 2024 Toronto Film Festival, promises exclusive concert footage and personal insights from John’s illustrious career.
