Dr. Dre, recently honored with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, received a surprise visit from his fellow rap icons Eminem, Snoop Dogg, and 50 Cent, who came to pay tribute to the legendary producer.
After the Hollywood Walk of Fame ceremony, Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg, and 50 Cent made a rare appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live!, marking Dr. Dre’s first late-night TV appearance in three decades. Towards the end of the interview, Dr. Dre dropped a bombshell announcement, revealing that Eminem is gearing up to release his 12th studio album later this year. Addressing the crowd, he exclaimed, “Eminem is working on his own album, which is coming out this year. He gave me the green light to make the announcement right here on the show. I’m actually going to listen to the entire album for the first time tomorrow… I haven’t heard any completed tracks yet, but he’s set to drop an album in 2024.” This forthcoming album follows Eminem’s 2020 release, “Music to Be Murdered By,” which debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 chart, marking his tenth consecutive album to achieve this milestone. Notably, 50 Cent is another protege of Dr. Dre’s, while Snoop Dogg has enjoyed a longstanding collaboration and friendship with the renowned producer.
