As one of the evening’s presenters, Yeoh joined other stars like Elle Fanning, Keke Palmer, Selena Gomez, and Millie Bobby Brown, as well as her Wicked co-stars Ariana Grande, Cynthia Erivo, and Bowen Yang. In the highly anticipated film adaptation of Wicked by Jon M. Chu, Yeoh takes on the role of Madame Morrible, a powerful sorceress and the Wizard’s right-hand.
Reflecting on her Wicked experience, Yeoh shared her admiration for her co-stars and director: “I love Jon Chu. I think he’s one of the best directors around. Spending time with Ariana and Cynthia, you feel like you’ve gone where angels sing, because they have the most amazing voices and are simply a dream to work with.” She also praised Ariana Grande for her dedication as she embarked on her first major movie role, noting the professionalism and dedication of both Grande and Erivo.
