Japanese artist Verdy is renowned for his whimsical design aesthetic, showcased through projects like Girls Don’t Cry. Now, Verdy partners with Dr. Martens for the first time, revamping the iconic Ramsey Creeper silhouette. Originally featured in Supreme’s FW23 collaboration with Dr. Martens, the Ramsey Creeper holds sentimental value for Verdy’s wife, a former employee of the brand.
Crafted initially as a gift for his wife, the Girls Don’t Cry x Dr. Martens Ramsey Creeper melds premium leather panels with a furry toe cap. D-ring eyelets adorn the shoe, while subtle Girls Don’t Cry branding appears through debossing at the lateral heel and a heart-shaped gold charm acting as a dubrae. Retaining Dr. Martens’ signature elements like yellow contrast stitching and Airwair branding, the shoe is elevated with a smoke wedge platform sole.
The Girls Don’t Cry x Dr. Martens Ramsey Creeper will be available for purchase starting February 28 at 10 PM EST via Girls Don’t Cry’s website and on March 1 through Dr. Martens and select retailers like Dover Street Market.
