Jennifer Aniston has taken aim at Senator J.D. Vance over his controversial remarks from 2021 concerning women without children, including Vice President Kamala Harris.
In a pointed Instagram Story posted on Wednesday, The Morning Show star expressed disbelief at Vance’s comments, particularly given his political aspirations. Aniston wrote, “I truly can’t believe this is coming from a potential VP of The United States. All I can say is…Mr. Vance, I pray that your daughter is fortunate enough to bear children of her own one day.”
Aniston, who has openly shared her experiences with IVF, continued by addressing Vance directly, expressing hope that his daughter would not face the challenges of needing fertility treatments due to policies that might restrict access to such options.
The Friends alum included a screenshot of Vance’s 2021 interview with Tucker Carlson, where he criticized childless women in leadership roles within the Democratic Party. Vance had remarked, “It’s just a basic fact — you look at Kamala Harris, Pete Buttigieg, AOC — the entire future of the Democrats is controlled by people without children.”
In response, Aniston highlighted that Kamala Harris is a stepmother to her husband’s two adult children and challenged Vance’s assertion about leadership and parental status.
Aniston’s remarks come amid ongoing scrutiny of Vance after his selection as Donald Trump’s vice presidential candidate at the Republican National Convention for the 2024 election.
Previously, Aniston has been vocal about false pregnancy rumors and her fertility journey in Hollywood, emphasizing the challenges she faced and the advice she would have welcomed, like considering egg freezing earlier in her life.
