Insta360 has unveiled the Ace Pro 2, the latest addition to its action camera lineup, building on its successful collaboration with Leica. This new model enhances the best features of its predecessor, boasting impressive performance upgrades that aim to set a new standard in the action camera market.

The Ace Pro 2 is equipped with a powerful 1/1.3” 8K sensor that offers an impressive 13.5 stops of dynamic range, allowing it to perform exceptionally well in challenging lighting conditions. Its lens, crafted by Leica, is a Summarit lens with a wide 157-degree field of view, ensuring high-quality captures that distinguish this camera from its competitors.

A standout feature of the Ace Pro 2 is its innovative dual-chip design, which enhances both performance and image quality. The Pro Imaging Chip focuses on image processing, minimizing noise in photos and videos, while the 5nm AI Chip supports the Pro Imaging Chip and enhances the overall user experience. This dual setup allows for advanced features like 4K 120fps slow motion and 4K 60fps with Active HDR.

Additional enhancements include a new Wind Guard to reduce wind noise and an easy-to-attach removable Lens Guard, both secured with a magnetic mounting system. The Ace Pro 2 also boasts a larger 1800mAh battery, offering longer shooting times, and introduces an Endurance Mode for up to 50% longer runtime at 4K 30fps compared to the previous model.

Insta360 has increased compatibility with popular sports applications such as Garmin and Apple, and users can seamlessly transfer data via the Insta360 app.

“Our goal was to refine and enhance the groundbreaking features of the original Insta360 Ace Pro,” said JK Liu, founder of Insta360. “These upgrades not only bring significant advances in AI but also empower creators to capture what was once impossible with other action cameras.”

The Insta360 Ace Pro 2 and its accessories are available now on the brand’s website.
