Breguet has unveiled two new additions to its Classique Tourbillon collection, namely the 3358BB/VD/986D0 and the 3358BR/8D/986D0 models. These timepieces continue the brand’s tradition of innovation, inspired by its founder Abraham-Louis Breguet, who invented the tourbillon mechanism to enhance timekeeping precision by counteracting the effects of gravity.
The first model, known as “Starlit Night” (3358BB/VD/986D0), features a midnight blue mother-of-pearl dial adorned with a cascade of diamonds, creating a celestial aesthetic. The dial is further enhanced by gold stars of varying textures, some of which are crowned with diamonds, adding a captivating three-dimensional element to the design. At 12 o’clock, there is an off-centered chapter ring with Arabic numerals and rhodium-plated gold Breguet hands. The tourbillon is revealed through a polished, curved aperture at 6 o’clock, embellished with a shooting star-shaped bar set with 45 snow-set diamonds and a blue spinel at its center. The sapphire case back showcases the hand-engraved baseplate with Breguet’s name and the unique movement reference number.
The second model, named “Stunning Sight” (3358BR/8D/986D0), features a rose gold case and a dial adorned with 281 diamonds, forming elegant curves between 3 and 9 o’clock. The natural white mother-of-pearl chapter ring at 12 o’clock complements the Arabic numerals and hands. The tourbillon is positioned within a polished oval-shaped aperture, framed by a rounded gold bar set with 14 diamonds.
Both models are housed in a 35 mm case with water resistance up to 30 meters. They are powered by the hand-wound 187 D movement, offering a 50-hour power reserve. The watches operate at a frequency of 2.5 Hz and feature a steel Breguet balance spring. Each watch is paired with a glossy alligator leather strap, with the “Starlit Night” model featuring a midnight blue strap and the “Stunning Sight” model featuring a crimson red strap, adding a final touch of elegance.
The “Starlit Night” and “Stunning Sight” models are priced at $136,376 USD and $146,114 USD respectively. They are available for purchase by appointment only through Breguet’s official website.
