Federal prosecutors on Monday charged the suspect in a fire attack on demonstrators in Boulder, Colorado, with a charge of hate crime.

A criminal complaint filed against the suspect, Mohamed Sabry Soliman, said there is probable cause to believe he attacked the demonstrators because they were supporting Israel in calling for the release of hostages by the Palestinian terror group Hamas.

Law enforcement officials are on scene to investigate an attack on the Pearl Street Mall in Boulder, Colorado on June 1, 2025.
