Students and families borrowing money for college will get a slight reprieve for the upcoming school year.The interest rate for undergraduate federal student loans disbursed between July 1, 2025 and June 30, 2026 will be 6.39%, down from 6.53% for the 2024-25 school year, the Department of Education announced on May 30.
