Taylor Swift’s Publicist Condemns False Marriage Claims

Taylor Swift’s publicist, Tree Paine, has taken a stand against the Instagram account Deuxmoi, known for its celebrity gossip posts, following the site’s claims that Swift had married her ex, Joe Alwyn. Paine, who typically avoids the spotlight, made a rare public statement, expressing her frustration with Deuxmoi’s posts and the distress they cause.

Deuxmoi had posted on its Instagram story, asserting that Swift had a U.K. ceremony in 2020 or 2021, which it described as a “marriage.” Paine responded by sharing the screenshot of the story on her X (formerly Twitter) account, vehemently denying the claims and calling for accountability from Deuxmoi.

Paine’s post read, “Enough is enough with these fabricated lies about Taylor from Deuxmoi. There was NEVER a marriage or ceremony of ANY kind. This is an insane thing to post. It’s time for you to be held accountable for the pain and trauma you cause with posts like these.”

The dispute highlights the challenges celebrities face with the spread of false information and the impact it can have on their lives.
